A Different Tag, This Time it's a Book Tag

Amy tagged me on this Book Tag. (She also showed me how to make a link to the name I type--very cool, huh?). My book is also not a beach read, but here are the rules and details:

The rules:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 2 to 5 sentences, along with these rules.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual book. Pick the CLOSEST!
6. Tag five (or more) other people to do the same!

Here are my sentences:

His Hebrew name, Avrom, suited him better than the English, Alvin. Four months after his death, our daughter, Amy, was born, and she was named after him. Here, in 1982, in my quiet, darkened office, a deafening cascade of hidden, secret truths was pouring upon me. I was swimming in a spiritual sea, and I loved the water. My arms were gooseflesh. catherine could not possibly know this information. There was no place even to look it up.

Now the people I will Tag:
1. Heidi
2. Tara
3. Nancy
4. Kathy
5. Carey

Happy Reading! My book, by the way, is Many Lives, Many Masters

What a great Day!

I just got back from a 3 hour hike with some of my best friends.  How great was that!  I love days like this--it was actually 76 degrees today.  Beautiful!  I'm going with the philosophy of putting out positive, great vibes and it'll come back to reward me. I try to live like that most of the time, but you know...stuff/people sometime get in the way of those good intentions.  Not today!  Hope you all had a great day, as well.

HOPE...

Well...I dived right into 2009. The year 2008, not so great (most notably at the end), but I have such high hopes and dreams for 2009 at times I almost can't contain myself. Especially at this moment because two other blogs that I have read have gotten their phone calls and are soon to be traveling to Russia. One in VLAD for a little girl. Oh my...I'm so excited for them. Movement is happening and the thrill of everything going on right now is just contagious. This year I've also decided to put my energy into creating the extra money we need for the adoption and just plain having a child in our lives. Life is great and about to become greater!

I also want to say a Thank You to Amy for nominating me for the lemonade award. (Amy: I'm not very good with the "techie" blog stuff and will soon figure how to post a blog about this with the links to the peoples names...I will figure this out.) That is so cool. I don't think I've ever been nominated for anything before. I'm just thrilled that you think enough of me to be honored. I would truly love to meet you in Russia. I think we'd hit it off marvelously!
